A 24-year-old labourer, Alie Kamara, has made another appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown, facing three charges related to a violent incident in Aberdeen.
Kamara is charged with wounding with intent, wounding, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, all contrary to Section 47 of the Offences Against the Person Act of 1861.
According to the charge sheet, on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at No. 28 Oliver Street, Aberdeen, in the Western Area of Freetown, the accused allegedly wounded Carlton Johannes Wilson with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Counts Two and Three further allege that on the same date and at the same location, Kamara maliciously wounded and assaulted Wilson, resulting in actual bodily harm.
When the charges were read and explained to the accused in court, no plea was taken.
Police prosecutor, Sergeant 8811 Florence M. Wilson, requested a short adjournment as her key witness was absent in court.
Given the serious nature of the allegations, Magistrate Fornah refused bail and ordered that the accused be remanded at the Male Correctional Centre in Freetown.
The matter was adjourned to July 24, 2025 for further hearing.
