Labourer Remanded For Alleged House Breaking

29yrs-old Suliaman Kamara a Labourer made his first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Ross Road Court No.1 in Freetown on two count charges ranging from house breaking and larceny contrary to section 26 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence on Saturday 14th January 2023 at No.52 Mambaridge Moyiba Kissy the western Area in Freetown with intent to steal broke and entered into the dwelling house of Alpha Noah Sesay and stole therein four window cotton, three pair clothes, one Mp3 speaker box, one white leader DVD player, one brown flask, one pair bed spread, one black LG DVD player, one rubber bucket, one black extension and fiscal cash of two thousand five hundred and fifty Leones all to the total value of four thousand one hundred and forty five Leones.

The charges were read and explained to the accused person and no plea was taken.

Prosecutor CSP Tholley told the bench that her witness was absent and requested a short adjournment date, whilst the accused person was unrepresented.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Kekura refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown. The Matter was adjourned to 2nd February 2023 for further hearing.
