Kono District particularly Koidu City is set to benefit from uninterrupted electricity facility come early October 2022.
This was disclosed by the Kono District chairman of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s party Lesley Safea Moiwa during the official handing over of at least two brand new transformer panels and switch gears at a ceremony held in Koidu City.
Chairman Moiwa further lavished praises on the president Bio led government which he described as a talk and for fulfilling the promise of providing uninterrupted electricity facility to the cities, towns; district and chiefdom headquarter towns in the country.
He pleaded with all and sundry especially those with voting right to replicate the gesture of providing uninterrupted electricity facility by overwhelmingly voting for SLPP under the dynamic leadership of President Julius Maada Bio.
Officially handing over the said two brand new transformer panels and switch gears to the Kono District chairman SLPP, the permanent secretary in the Ministry of energy and power supply.
Tamba Raymond Gbetuwa assured the people of Kono District and Koidu City in particular of uninterrupted twenty four hours electricity from Transco. On his part the chairman council of paramount chiefs Kono District who also doubles as the paramount chief of Soa Chiefdom Kono District PC Emmanuel TambaTorche Foyon foremost welcomed the permanent secretary and his entourage to Kono district for the blessing presented.
He said the people of Kono were so happy for the official presentation of the aforementioned materials which has been the dream of every well-meaning Kono indigene as for far too long the outage of power has been the order of the day in Koidu City and Kono District as whole.
P.C. Foryoh thanked the president of the republic of Sierra Leone including the minister of energy and power supply and the Kono District Chairman Sierra Leone people’s party for the electrification of Koidu City and Kono District as a whole.
Sahr Nepor is the communications manager electricity Distribution supply authority (EDSA) he maintained that the government of Sierra Leone headed by President Julius Maada Bio is poised to giving section able twenty four hours electricity facility to the people of Koidu City and Kono District as a whole.
He concluded by assuring the people of Kono District a sustainable, affordable and reliable electricity facility he ended.
