The founder and manager of the Yamba Motor Garage and General Services says most of the girls in Kono District are not serious in exploiting skills development.

Manager Augustine Yamba made the statement at his Lebanon Congo Bridge, Massingbi road office in Koidu City, Kono District, noting that since he opened the said garage, he has trained thousands of youths in the district both boys and girls.

He however expresses dismay that girls often drop out of the garage training without any significant reasons.

He adds that some of them fully indulge themselves in boyfriend love relationships which undermines their ambition to learn,

Augustine Yamba says because of their negative plans, he deliberately refused to encourage them not to inject their plans into those who are willing or will be willing to learn.

He discloses that he opened the garage in 1973 which has today created a room of success for him and his family adding that even though he never went to school since his childhood, yet the skill training he has as motor mechanic, has benefited so many people have known him at both national and international levels respectively.

Mr. Yamba is therefore calling on all and sundry to go to the garage and learn motor mechanic work as there are different departments he has created free of cost especially for the capacity building of girls.

Explaining their experience to our reporter Yayah Jalloh and Kai Sayoh maintained that, since they started working at the above garage, their lives have changed and improved as they are now responsible for themselves and their families as well. They however advised their fellow youths to come and join them to learn something in order to make a better society.
