Kissitonians reward SLFA Vice President

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Vice President (One), Harold Nat Johnson has on last weekend presented with a special award by Kissytonians Forum for his outstanding activity and contribution to the community.

Mr. Harold said he was delighted to receive such award. He said: “I am thrilled because hard work pays, he added “this Community is part of my DNA because I have served in the Community team (Kissy All Stars) as executive member and we promoted to the premier league even though we were relegated later. I have also played my part in developing young boys and girls top play football.”

SLFA Vice President 1 said even though he is surprise that his community he once served recognized him, he noted that he deserve such award.

“I would like to thank Kissitonians Forum for recognizing me, and this award will serve as a motivation to do more for the Kissy Community,” he further added that “I couldn’t have done any of this without the help of you all and to be recognized by my Community is a great feeling. From being young I knew that if I ever got in a position that I could help I would and I’m so proud of what I have achieved so far”.

The ceremony was climax with a friendly football match as Mark FC 10 defeated Team Super 4-2 on post-game penalty at the Mile End ground. Mr. Harold presented 40 medals (Gold & Silver) to both the runners up and champions with an undisclosed cash price to the champions.

However, Mr. Mohamed Alhaji Turay a Community elder told this press that he was gratified with Harold Nat Johnson efforts in promoting soccer in the community. He said: “I was moved by his efforts to remember us despite attained a big position at the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) we wish him success;” he said. He called on other community members to emulate the good example set by Harold Nat Johnson.
