Keke Rider Remanded For Fraud

31 years old Aruna Kamara a tricycle rider made his first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on a count of Fraudulent conversion Contrary to Section 20 (1) (iv) (a) of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence on Saturday 13th January 2024 at Brook Street the western area in Freetown Fraudulently converted to his own use or benefit certain property that is to say three tricycle tires value one thousand three hundred and fifty Leones (Le 1,350) from one blue tricycle with registration number ASG 318 entrusted to him by Prince Serry Kamara for the purpose of plying on commercial purpose.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused person, no plea taken.

Meanwhile, Magistrate Kekura refused bail and sent the accused person to the male facility in Freetown and matter adjourned to the 26th January 2024 for further hearing.  Inspector Kadie M Taylor is prosecuting the matter.
