Christina Jalloh Jamboria made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to section 47 of the office against the person Act 1861.
According to the particulars of offence on Wednesday 2nd December 2020 at Wilberforce in the western area in Freetown assaulted Marie Kallon in a manner thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm.
Second Prosecution witness, Murphy Marrah a tricycle driver said he knew the complainant and the accused person and recalled the 2nd day of December 2020. He said on that said date an incident occur between the complainant and the accused person; while he came out to fetch water on his way he met the complainant and the accused person arguing, while other people standing at the scene.
He said as got closer he saw the accused person standing by a vehicle and there were forest guards at the scene while the accused person took out his phone and placed it on the ear of the complainant to listen to what his solicitor was saying, the complainant refused and said it was a lie, she left off and went to the veranda of the complainant.
According to the witness, the accused person hit the complainant on her chest with her two hands saying did you say I was lying. PW 2 said the complainant wanted to retaliate but he stopped her and told her that what the accuse has done can be amounted to trespass and also cautioned the forest guards as they left off with their vehicle; while he made statement to the police station.
The witness was cross examined by defense Counsel Charles .R. Williams matter adjourned to the 7th October, 2021.
