Husband of the first-ever female executive committee member in the Sierra Leone Football Association, Alhaji Alusine Kamara, a businessman residing in Bo, has on behalf of his wife Haja Ramatulai Kamara (RAM K) and children, donated the sum of Fifty Million Leones 50,000,000 (old note) to the Female Premier League Board ahead of the maiden edition of the female premier league slated to start on 15th October 2022.
“I am supporting the FPL Board because my wife is serving as an Exco member in the SLFA, and heads female football in the country. So anything that has to do with female football we are in full support as a family and as support to my wife”, Mr. Kamara said.
He continued by saying that sometime last week, a cross-section
of the Board headed by Mrs. Asma James, officially met with him at his Pademba Road office where he donated the Le 50,000,000.
The Philanthropist and Businessman promised that his family will work closely with the SLFA female department especially when they undertake activities.
“I expect to see that the first female premier league in the country becomes formidable to strengthen the various female national teams in the country”, he noted.
Alhaji Alusine Kamara also called on Sierra Leoneans to put their hands on deck to support this year’s female premier league in their little way so that the female premier league in Sierra Leone would gain momentum compared to neighboring Guinea and Liberia.
He ended by thanking the staff, the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, and the entire Executive Committee for their relentless efforts in making sure that the female premier league takes center stage across the country.
