As a way complementing the human capital development clarion call of President Julius Maada Bio a new bilingual Kaimba Dowa Junior Secondary school has been officially opened at Motema community back of the amputee camp in Nimikoro Chiefdom Kono District.
Tamba Dominic Kaimba is one of the local proprietors of the newly established Junior Secondary school in an interview with A-Z he maintained that the objective for the establishment of the school according to the general proprietor in USA Dominic Yambasu is to liberate Kono District and Sierra Leone as a whole by the acquisition of quality education.
He said the establishment of the school is the realization of the general proprietors’ long serving scholarship scheme to school going pupils and students of different schools, colleges and universities across the country, noting now that a school has been established in Kono District parents from every facet of life will now have the chance to educate their children or wards irrespective of their humble financial status.
As a way of setting standards Tamba Dominic Kaimba noted that the general proprietors of Kaimba Dowa Junior Secondary School.
Dominic Yambasu has strongly instructed them to only admit at most seventy pupils that got the government passing marks at the just conducted NPSE.
He intimated this medium that the school is registered with the ministry of education and has a team of qualified and hardworking teachers coupled with and ideal learning environment.
He said pupils who have gained admission into the school have been freely supplied at least two set of uniforms, text and note books in order to cushion the present global economic situation their parents are in.
“The general proprietor besides his educational gesture he has supported a lot of people especially the blind and physically challenged during and after the Ebola scourge in the country and as a way of continue the said gesture Mr. Yambasu has thought it prudent to open the above mentioned school for the success of all as education is the key to sustainable success or development.
He afoot long term plans by Dominic Yambasu to establish a university including other development facilities in Kono District Dominic Kaimba concluded” Talking to this medium the principal of Kaimba Dowa Junior Secondary School Ibrahim Bangura noted that since the school was officially opened on the 5th of September, 2022 learning was on a Sound footing by the well trained and qualified teachers.
According to him for marketable learning he appealed to parents and caregivers to send their children or wards to the school as the prescribed subjects of the school are taught in English and French thereby making the school a bilingual institution.
He on behalf of the teachers registered their unflinching support in taking the school to higher heights.
Meanwhile Isatu Komba, Benjamin Swankay, Theresa Smart, Mohamed Koroma and Michael Queewa on behalf of their colleague pupils thanked the general proprietor of the school Dominic Yambasu for bringing light into their lives.
They should have found it very difficult to start their academic work this year owing to the deplorable financial situations of their parents.
They promised to make good use of such an opportunity.
