Justice Momojah Stevens has expressed heartfelt gratitude and surprise after receiving a special recognition award from the Female Wing of the Alfathi Muslim Development Organization, in collaboration with WMPC.

“I am overwhelmed and surprised by this honour,” Justice Stevens said. “For that, I give thanks to the Almighty Allah.”

He reflected on his long-standing relationship with the Alfathi Jammah, which began in 1994 through his friend now brother in faith Alusine Kamara. Since then, he has remaned a committed and active member of the congregation.

Justice Stevens commended the members of Alfathi for their unwavering dedication to the Islamic faith and expressed deep appreciation for the award, noting that it was presented in the name of Islam, which made it especially meaningful to him.

“I thank everyone who played a part in bringing this award to me,” he said.

During the event, Justice Stevens proposed the establishment of a formal office for the council and expressed optimism that the suggestion would materialize.

In his closing remarks, he urged fellow Muslims to remain humble and steadfast in their worship, regardless of life’s challenges.

“None of us knows when our time will come,” he cautioned. “Let us not abandon our prayers, no matter the situation. If Allah helps you, help others.”

The recognition highlights Justice Stevens’ contributions to the faith community and reinforces the importance of leadership grounded in humility, service, and spiritual commitment.
