Justice Charles Stevens Acquits and Discharges 2 for Alleged Malicious Damage

Samuel Yillai, Ibrahim Kamara and Hassan Turay all accused persons appeared before Justice Charles Stevens in the Modern Sexual Penetration Court in Freetown on the 12thApril, 2021.

According to the charged sheets, the accused persons were charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony, two counts of malicious damage all contrary to the Laws of Sierra Leone.

 It is alleged that the accused on the 22nd March, 2016, the accused persons conspired with other persons unknown to commit felony to wit malicious damage.

On counts two, the accused persons maliciously damaged the properties of Two Hundred bags of cement, Twelve shovels total cost is Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Leones (Le 350,000/00), five (5) pick axes total cost One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Leones (Le 350,000/00), Twelve head pans cost Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Leones (Le 350,000/00) etc. properties of the complainant Zainab Deke.

Justice Stevens said there is nothing connecting the accused persons to the charges; therefore he acquitted and discharged all accused persons.
