God’s Ministers Challenge Bio’s Ministers
Again I saw under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to the men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all” Eccle, 9:11
The above quotation gives us inkling that there is a silent competition between the servants of God and the servants of the state. In the first place let us get it clear that the meaning of the word MINISTER is servant. Therefore ministers of state and ministers of God are servants of the state and God respectively. They are not our ministers.
Well-known pastor A.M. Mambu General Overseer of the faith Healing Church is an innovator and one would wish others in the Lord’s ministry would follow in his foot steeps. His crusades at the national Stadium are well known and well attended. His combined services at Grafton are always attended by thousands. He has also established a radio station to further extend his messages to the unredeemed.
Not contest with mere evangelism he has branched out into a tent ministry after the fashion of the illustrious St. Paul who wrote 13 Epistles of the New Testament. Incidentally St. Paul earned his living not only from offering from church members but also making tents which is why his ministry as tagged the tent ministry. In modern times this is the ministry frowned upon by myopic bishops.
Pastor Mambu’s strides in agriculture have been well publicized even making the headlines in the national news broadcast by the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC). He has harvested thousands of acres of rice adhering to the call of the President that the private sectors should be involved in farming to alleviate our food insecurity, perhaps he thought that the President’s call for such involvement ministers included divine ministers but that is not it. It is in fact the right in conception. He has loved what many self-serving state ministers have failed to do. Rather than paying heed to the President’s call many of them are busy amassing wealth for themselves, spending only on their families, relatives and friends. This is a covert challenge to state ministers and members of parliament. Ministers who do not produce farms to feed their constituencies should never be reappointed in 2023 if President Bio takes note of this suggestion. Altruism should be encouraged.
Price Rise Myth Dispelled
“Tin Trong” has been almost a national anthem especially by destructive critics of the incumbent government. They chant this to discredit the government in favor of the opposition. Their mantra is that once prices rise they would never go down but they have been given the lie in a big way especially the surprising way that the price of rice has dropped. Not only that.
Even when the price if fuel in the world dropped the sense was affected in Sierra Leone but oh yah these critics would never relent. Let those of us who are realistic ignore them and go about over noiseless way.
Missing Case File
It is rather distressing, too distressing and scandalous for a case file to be missing. Is this how a Force For Good should behave? The Inspector- General should take necessary action. Compliment of the season!
