Recently, there have been lots of questions asked by Sierra Leoneans including bloggers on the whereabouts of Mariama Kamara who is popularly known China Nicki the winner of the first edition of the Big Sister empowerment reality TV Show in 2019.
After winning the show in 2019, pictures and videos of her and her manager by the name of Ejatu Barrie emerged online showing them making their way to the United States of America. Few years later, Salone Gossip a popular Facebook page in Sierra Leone posted a picture of China Nicki being held in detention in the Bahamas that raised lots of questions on the welfare and wellbeing of China Nicki which are yet to be answered.
Speaking to Hawanatu Konneh Blog, Ejatu Barrie the manager of China Nicki said that China Nicki was deported from the Bahamas to Ghana, adding that she never made it to the United States of America as she now resides in Ghana doing well and fine.
Ejatu Barrie went further to say that China Nicki wanted to stay away from social media as she prefers to live her life out of the spotlight, adding that she is in contact with some of her friends and family members whom she wants to be with. The manager of China Nicki said ‘it has been a long time I have not been in contact with China Nicki, she is an adult and can take good care of herself.’ Ejatu Barrie also insisted that she has proven that that China Nicki is alive and doing well in Ghana.
In another development, Zainab Sheriff the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Big Sister Empowerment Reality TV Show on her Facebook live said that it has been a while now she has not spoken to China Nicki. She said the last time she spoke to her was when she told her that she now stays in New York in the United States of America which the manager Ejatu Barrie has denied. Zainab Sheriff said that she was very concern about China Nicki that prompted to check on her in the United State of America.
She said she later spoke to the manager who told her that they are in Florida not in New York.
‘I stopped talking to China Nicki because every time I did it will always result to a problem between China Nicki and her manager, as the manager has always been intimidated and jealous by my presence in China Nicki’s life’ Zainab Sheriff explained.
Zainab Sheriff however confirmed that she doesn’t know the whereabouts of China Nicki as of now and haven’t spoken to her for a very long time.
Speaking to some fans of China Nicki they said that they are still doubtful on the whereabouts of China Nicki, noting that they have no idea if she is safe or in detention at the Bahamas.
They went further to say that they received various explanations from various parties that do not add up, adding that Ejatu Barrie the manager of China is not being truthful to the public on the whereabouts of China Nicki.
To prove to the public that China Nicki is in Ghana, there has been a video making the rounds on social media of Ejatu and China Nicki being in a video chat that she is currently in Accra, Ghana.
One main question that people are asking is how a lady who won ten million leones, a car and who was promised a better life when she won the Big Sister Empowerment reality TV show, was taken to the United States of America, later ended in detention in the Bahamas and now in Ghana?
