The High Court of Sierra Leone had slammed an Interim Injunction, against the defendant MACCEM Industry, restraining the respondent weather by itself, it’s servant, agents, privies or workmen from entering upon or carrying out a construction work on the disputed piece and percel of land, (Hastings Airfield), pending the hearing and determination of this application.
The interim injunction in the High Court matter between the plaintiff/applicant, Aquila Hastings Development Limited and the defendant/respondent, MACCEM Industry SL Limited was passed last Thursday, 15th September, 2022 before Honourable Justice Hannah Bonnie J.
The injunction didn’t only highlight that the order must be served on the respondent, but it went further to state that if the defendant or respondent fails to comply with the above order, would be guilty of contempt of court, this is further described in the injunction notice which was signed by the High Court Master and Registrar and dated 15th September, 2022 as a jail able offense.
