The Waterloo Police Division has unearthed the identity of the youth recently found dead in the Malambay community, Waterloo as being Ibrahim Jakitay who was an owner of a  bakery and a shop located at Allen Town in the east end of Freetown.

The Spokesman for the Waterloo Police Station, ASP Allieu Jalloh, revealed that the thought that the lifeless body they saw was a motorist proved to be untrue according to the round the clock investigation they have mounted to apprehend those responsible for the gruesome death of the businessman.

He assured that they would get to the bottom of the matter and bring to book anyone whose hands are not clean over his murder.

Ibrahim Jakitay was believed to have been within the age bracket of 25-30 years old. It could be recalled that his body was discovered lying on an isolated location leading to a farm. “The body sustained stab wounds on the neck, throat, chest stomach, hand and also we discovered a knife and a bluetooth player near the corpse”,the police spokesman confirmed to this medium. He called on members of the public to furnish them with vital information leading to the arrest of whosoever is behind the animalistic act of sending an innocent youth to his grave.

The Headman in the Malambay community, Ibrahim Kargbo reported the incidence to the police over the week end.

The community was referred to as one of the most peaceful communities in the district with no major report against them except for the recent discovery of the unidentified rider.

However, similar reports of such matter of murder have been reported to have taken place in other communities within the Western Rural District which have scared away some riders from the streets especially at night.
