The matter between the State and Nabieu Unisa Raymond Bangura, Hon Saidu Emmanuel Conteh and another which was expected to commence yesterday for further hearing has been stalled because of absent of prosecution witnesses.

Nabieu Unisa Raymond Bangura, Hon Saidu Emmanuel Conteh and another were sometimes arraigned before magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No 1 for Preliminary Investigation for illegal importation of Arms and Ammunitions and other related charges.

On the last adjourned, the exhibit clerk attached to the crime writers/ exhibits office, sergeant 1516 Abu Conteh was docked by the prosecution and tendered the pistols, magazines and accessories in respect of the matter.  After tendering the exhibits, he was cross examined by defense counsel JM Jengo and the matter was adjourned for the prosecution to take their next witness.

Shortly after the matter was mentioned yesterday for further hearing, State prosecutor YI Sesay informed the Bench that he is not prepared to go on because his witness was absent.

In that light, magistrate Sahr Kekura adjourned the matter to Monday 8th November 2021, at the instance of the prosecution.

In another development, the murder matter of Elizabeth Munde Judith Kanu, a student of UNIMAk who was charged for murder was also adjourned because of the absent of State counsel, O.V Robin Mason Jr.
