Detective sergeant 19009 Kanu A attached at the scientific forensics unit, tendered in court autopsy photo of the now deceased Gilis Ola Edward Johnson in court.
He said that he recalled on the diverse date 15th March, 2023,himself and Detective inspector Karim witnessed the autopsy of the deceased at the mortuary done but by forensics doctor, Simeon owizz Koroma.
He further said that during the autopsy as a crime officer he took series of snap shots with his Lincoln camera and this was witnessed by the inspector Karim and the now deceased relatives and the snap shots were printed out and it was in police custody since, the said photos and the camera were produced and tendered in court.
The prosecuting counsel Umu Sumaray led in another witness in court, who is the exhibit clerk to tender the exhibits in court to strengthening her case and form part of the court evidence.
Police officer 8576 Kamara I attached to the CID headquarters as exhibit clerk, and he vividly recall on the 6th April, 2023. When one Detective Karim Sidi M handed over to him certain items as exhibits for safekeeping and these said items are one old white T shirt with blood stain, one old white vest with blood stain, one old blue and white shirt, one old black slipper, one black old handle knife with blood stain, one old brow slippers and these said items were registered against serial number 4 1/2023 and it has been in police custody since and it was produced and tendered in court.
The accused Mohamed Arouni Conteh was charged to court on one count of murder contrary to the Laws of Sierra Leone.
It was alleged that the accused on Saturday 11th March 2023, at 54 Victoria Street in Freetown, allegedly Murdered 68 years old Gilis Ola Edward Johnson former Teacher at Providence International High School.
The prosecuting consul Umu Sumaray sought for a short date for her to bring in one formal witness and close her case.
Meanwhile Magistrate Mark Ngeba remanded the accused person, and the matter was adjourned to the 21st July, 2023. For further hearings.
