In a resolute stance against the pervasive issue of drug abuse, particularly the prevalence of Kush and its related offenses, Sierra Leonean law enforcement officials and community leaders convened in a strategic planning session to address the matter head-on. The meeting, held at the Fillie Faboe Memorial Hall in Tankoro Chiefdom, Kono District, saw prominent figures from various sectors joining forces to combat the menace.

She underscored the critical role of community policing in enhancing security measures and solicited public support in providing vital information to expedite law enforcement operations.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Daniel D. Sovula, representing the Motema Police Divisional Headquarters in Nimikoro Chiefdom, echoed Kamara’s sentiments, cautioning against the misuse of social activities for illicit purposes. This event aims to rally public support and raise awareness of the collective effort against drug abuse ahead of Sierra Leone’s 63rd Independence Anniversary celebrations.
