In KDFA Youth Development League…Foday Mubalie Football Academy U-12 And U-14 Teams Secure Semi-Final Spots

Foday Mubalie Football Academy’s U-12 and U-14 teams have successfully advanced to the Semi-finals of the Kambia District Football Association Youth Development League. In the return leg match at Rokupr Centre field, the U-12 side secured a 1-1 draw against KATARA FC. Notably, Abdulai I. Kamara scored the fastest goal in the competition, earning him the Man of the Match Certificate. Kamara now boasts two goals in two matches for the U-12 team.

Simultaneously, the U-14 side emerged victorious with a 1-0 win over KATARA FC, with Abdulai Jalloh netting the sole goal in the return leg match at the Rokupr Centre field.

As of now, both Foday Mubalie Football Academy U-12 and U-14 sides are the first teams to qualify for the Semi-finals in the Kambia District Football Association Youth Development League.

Following the intense matches against KATARA FC, Coach BBC expressed confidence in his team’s abilities, stating that the outcomes were expected as he believes his players possess the necessary skills to excel at this level. He reiterated that the academy’s goal is to secure the trophy and represent Kambia District in the national Youth Development League organized by the Sierra Leone Football Association.

In contrast, the head coach of KATARA FC acknowledged the disappointing results, attributing the losses to a lack of commitment from the players in attending training sessions and facing challenges with acquiring proper playing gears. Despite the setbacks, he expressed determination for future matches in the coming weeks. Currently, Foday Mubalie Football Academy’s U-12 and U-14 teams are back in training, preparing diligently for the upcoming Semi-finals.
