The Transition Committee (TC) has met with officials of the Ministry of Sports on Tuesday, 12 August 2025, where Minister Augusta James Teima welcomed the Babadi Kamara-led Executive Committee’s efforts of accountability in football administration, warning that “the government cannot continue to provide significant support without transparency and results.”
She encouraged the new Executive Committee to be submitting post-match reports and regularizing its status with the National Sports Authority.
Director of Sports, Haroun Mustapha Korjie, stressed that SLFA “cannot operate effectively without the Ministry of Sports,” highlighting the need to revamp Division 2 football to feed higher divisions.
Meanwhile, the HR Lead, Aruna Mans-Davies, has continued his work around attendance and operational issues and the Finance Lead, George Moore, looked at financial statements.
The chairman, Dr Isaac Massaquoi, was accompanied to the Ministry by the Governance Lead, Sirajin Rollings Kamara and Legal Lead, Isha Bawoh.
