Hassan Koroma made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba road court No.1 in Freetown on three court charges to wit Conspiracy to commit a malicious damage, malicious damage and Larceny contrary to section 2 of the malicious damage Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 18th April 2021 at off peninsular Road Hamilton village Freetown the western area in Freetown conspired together with other persons unknown to maliciously damage thirty concrete pillars valued five million Leones and stole therein four tons of iron rod valued thirty three million two hundred thousand Leones(33,200,000)one hundred bags of Cement valued seven million five hundred thousand Leones(7,500,000) ten shovel valued four hundred and fifty thousand Leones(450,000) and other items all to the total value of forty nine million six hundred and thirty thousand Leones (49,630,000) property of Anthony Yewoh Brewah.
The charges were read and explained to the accused person and pleaded not guilty.
In his ruling, Magistrate Kekura said the prosecution in a bid to prove its case against the accused person called six witnesses in evidence three factual witnesses and three formal witnesses who tendered various exhibits respectively and all prosecution witness were cross examined by the lawyer of the accused person G. Conteh Esq for and on behalf of the accused person.
Magistrate Kekura going through the evidences before the court including the no case submission for and on the accused person and the reply to the no case submission by the State Counsel Yusif Isaac Sesay Esq has proven that the accused person have a case to answer.
He therefore advised the accused person to open his defense on next adjourned date which will be on the 20th July 2022.
