The construction of the Deep Eye Water community market has raised more questions than answers as the former Member of Parliament, John Sati Kargbo who was on vacation in the United States of America has said investigations will be mounted to ascertain if the allegation that the seating Member of Parliament, Hon. Vincent and others sold part of the market land.
Hon John Sati Kargbo made this disclosure to A-Z newspaper after a big welcome ceremony on the weekend by his supporters in Deep Eye Water. He said he was happy to see market but surprised that the space used could not accommodate enough traders considering the growing population in the village. He noted that as the Constituency Development Chairman, he knows pretty much that the land reserved for market construction has been tampered with.
He pointed out that what is going to be investigated is how those structures got on the market land, because according to him, his constituents deserve more land and better structure than what Hon Vincent put up sometime last year. About electricity, he said he as the Constituency Development Chairman he commissioned 250 poles and 14 transformers for light to reach his constituency but surprised that until now Deep Eye Water does not enjoy electricity at all.
Hon Vincent had said he took loan from the bank to actualize his promise to construct market for his constituents. More details in our subsequent edition.
