Ibrahim Brima Swarray Foundation has concluded a ground-breaking quiz and debate competition with the theme ” Your Vision is My Mission ” on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, in Kailahun. The competition was an effort to complement President Bio’s focus on human capital development.

Chief Ibrahim Brima Swarray, Pioneer and Founder of the IBS Foundation, said the quiz and debate competition would continue to be the foundation’s key objective and watchword as long as President Bio’s government continues its commitment to education and beyond.

He urged the pupils to tap into the privileges given to them by His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio.

“At the close of this school year, Kailahun will benefit from the remedial summer school,” Chief assured.

The founder of the IBS Foundation revealed that the quiz and debate competitions would be climaxed at the national level this year.

He admonished the pupils to take their academic work seriously, as the foundation continues to focus on complementing President Bio’s vision.

He expressed commitment by supporting His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio’s developmental trajectories, especially in human capital development. He added that the only thing President Bio would leave is education; therefore, he would keep working hard to actualize his dream.

Mannah Massaquoi, Country Director of Ibrahim Brima Swarray Foundation Foundation, expressed appreciation for supporting the theme of this year’s edition of the ” Your Vision is My Mission” agenda.

He added that the foundation remains committed to strengthening quiz and debate competitions as one of its key priorities.

The event ended with outstanding performances from various schools in Kailahun District. The top performers in the quiz and debate competition received prizes and learning materials.

For the debate category, the Best Debater was Isatu Sallay of Kids in Kailahun Secondary School. The second-best Debater was Mamusu Yokie Musa of Luawa International Academy, and the Third-Best Debater was Milicent Konneh of Joy of Sisterhood. However, the Best Debate team went to Joy of Sisterhood, and the second-best Debate team went to Kids in Kailahun Secondary School.

For the quiz category, the Best Quizzer was Rebecca Bockarie of Luawa International Academy.

The Second Best quiz was from Fallah Tengbeh of LuawaInternational Academy, and the Third Best quiz was from Francess N. Sesay.

Also, the Best Quiz Team went to Luawa International Academy, and the Second Best Quiz Team went to Kids in Kailahun Secondary School.
