The Human Rights Commission of Sierra Leone has concluded its mobile complaints hearing sessions, targeting key populations in Makeni and Bo simultaneously.
Supported by the Global Fund through World Vision International Sierra Leone, the hearings, held from March 25 to 27, 2026, aimed to identify human rights challenges affecting vulnerable groups, receive complaints of rights violations, and provide appropriate redress.
Each session began with engagement of community leaders and key populations, during which the Commission explained its background, mandate, and work over the years in protecting and promoting the rights of all citizens in Sierra Leone.
The mobile hearings underscore the Commission’s commitment to accessibility, ensuring that even remote and vulnerable populations can raise concerns and seek justice for human rights violations.
