19 years old Mohamed Kamara a Masoner made another appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Ross Road Court No.1 in Freetown on a count of House Breaking and Larceny contrary to section 26 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 25th June 2023 at 14th Mayenkreh Road the western area in Freetown with intent to steal broke and entered into the dwelling house of Mohamed Kanu and stole therein six five gallon palm oil and other items all to the total sum of four thousand three hundred and forty Leones (4,340) Property of Mohamed Kanu.
Inspector Isatu Bangura Led second Prosecution witness (PW2) Sub inspector Osman Bangura attached at the exhibit office Ross Road. He said some of his duties is to take custody of all exhibit brought to the police station relating to matters that has been investigated and charged to court and to tender them in court when the need arise.
PW2 recalled the 4th July 2023 whilst on duty at the said station Sergeant 14270 Koroma I brought one rice bag, eight assorted T- Shirts, ten assorted Jean trousers, two cotton cloth, one lady skirt, one hammer and one small ladies bag and recorded it against serial number 41/2023 since then it was in the custody of the police the said exhibit was produced and tendered in court to form part of the court records. The accused person was unrepresented by legal representative.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Kekura refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional center in Freetown and matter was adjourned to the 17th August 2023.
