As Bo Township experiences acute electricity outage, Honorable Suahiho M. Koroma has yesterday the 20th of October 2021, identified with the plight of the Bo Government Hospital by donating one drum diesel in the region of two million Leones ( Le 2,000,000,000).

Donating the fuel on behalf of the Hon. Sualilo Koroma, the District Chairman Mr. Mohamed E.K Allie said that the Bo Government Hospital has a standby generator at ward 6   and   Honourable Sualiho donated few gallons to the said generator.

Mr. Allie said as a party, they always feel very elated whenever their members are extending such remarkable hands of generosity to the people in dire need.

Speaking on behalf of the Management of the Hospital, Matron Esther Kumba Jabbie thanked Hon. Koroma for the donation. He described the donation as timely and promised that it will be used for the intended purpose..

“Hon. Koroma is somebody who is ready to revitalize the Bo Government Hospital baby care unit. This is just the tip of iceberg,” Matron Esther Jabbie said.

She added that the hospital is facing challenges especially in terms of electricity supply, noting that, the fuel will help expedite their work adequately.

“The Kids are at the hospital and we do not know their destiny but they are Sierra Leoneans.  We may have lawyers among them,” she stated.

Matron Jabbie also reaffirmed that nurses are willing to work and that they have made a commitment before stakeholders to work in the best interest of the people. She added that with continuous support from stakeholders, even Kids below 1kg will survive in the ward.

She continued that as a hospital, they appreciate the fuel donated as a surprise package. She encouraged the entire management of the hospital and the people of Bo to appreciate the work of nurses instead of always criticizing them.

 She concluded by calling on other people to emulate the good work of Hon. Koroma and promised that the fuel will be used for its intended purpose. The Medical Superintendent of the Bo Government Hospital Dr. Ali Kanu was in attendance at the event of the donation.
