Hon. Joseph Williams-Lamin Commended for Exemplary Punctuality

During the parliamentary sitting held on Thursday, 29 May 2025, at the Chamber of Parliament, Hon. Joseph Williams-Lamin, Member of Parliament representing Bo District, was formally recognized by the Speaker of Parliament for his consistent punctuality and active participation in parliamentary proceedings.

Since assuming office, Hon. Williams-Lamin has distinguished himself as one of the most dedicated Members of Parliament, with a remarkable record of attendance and meaningful contributions to debates. His unwavering commitment to representing his constituents and engaging constructively in parliamentary work has made him a model of diligence and discipline.

In recognition of his outstanding service, the Speaker of Parliament announced the reinstatement of the Committee on Technical and Higher Education to Hon. Williams-Lamin. This gesture serves as a testament to his dedication and leadership within the House.

As the Sixth Parliament draws to a close, the Rt. Hon. Speaker pledged to write to all political parties to formally acknowledge the commitment and diligence of exemplary MPs such as Hon. Williams-Lamin.

The Speaker also extended his appreciation to all Members of Parliament who consistently arrive before 10:00 a.m. for parliamentary sittings.

“I am extremely proud of all MPs who make the effort to attend Parliament on time and actively participate in debates and committee activities,” the Speaker stated.

Hon. Thomas further urged all Members to uphold the values of punctuality and dedication in their duties, reminding them that their service is ultimately for the benefit of the people of Sierra Leone.
