The High Court of Sierra Leone has dismissed the application of Thomas Daddy Brima and Aminata Bangura against the Sierra Leone Football Association and its Acting General Secretary, Mohamed Benson Bawoh, with a cost of 240 thousand Leones.

Justice Alfred Ganda delivered this ruling on the 29th day of July, 2025, at High Court Number 2, Law Court Building, Freetown, after listening to the arguments of both sides.

The court was expected to rule on whether to grant an injunction to halt the Elective Congress from proceeding until the outcome of an appeal filed by the applicants is determined.

But this ruling indicates that the SLFA Congress will hold as planned.

The applicants filed the case after their disqualification from taking part in the SLFA Elective Congress.

Thomas Daddy Brima was disqualified by the SLFA Ethics Board on allegations of passport forgery and falsification, while Aminata Bangura was disqualified for allegedly providing false information regarding her fingerprints at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
