The Line Manager of the Family Support Unit, Grass field Police Post, Inspector Messie Sanfa Kargbo yesterday the 21st day of July 2021, told this medium how prepared they are to help maintain the measures put in place by the Government to prevent the rapid spread of the corona virus in the country.
Inspector Kargbo also said that in their Police Post they are observing the due protocols by wearing their facial masks and a bucket filled with water and soap for the washing of hands, which are placed outside before entering the Police Post. The line manager further stated that this protocol is observed on a daily basis.
Inspector Messie S Kargbo pleaded with the General Public to also help in the fight to contain the virus using the preventive protocols that have been instituted.
She encouraged community members to go out for the vaccines “in order to protect yourself and family members.”
She mentioned that she has taken her own jab together with her colleagues, with no complain and that they are grateful to the Government for providing such opportunity for them and members of the public.
In another development Inspector Kargbo told this medium that as the Line Manager of the Family Support Unit they are responsible for the investigation of cases such as Sexual Penetration, Domestic Violence, Rape and many more.
She said as the Line Manager, she is there as a front line supervisor to give directives, make correction and to see that all cases are well investigated and later the file is been sent to the Department of Public Prosecution for advice.
She said if the advice involved charging the matter to Court, she will also monitor the investigator to make sure the file is been sent to Court.
She explained that since she took office she has been doing her best to enforce discipline and to make sure that culprits are brought to justice especially in the areas of sexual penetration and rape cases.
She noted that she has set many examples and will still continue in order to promote a peaceful environment for women and girls and to secure a brighter future for them.
Hawa Kargbo a resident in the community boldly told this press that since Inspector Kargbo and her team took office there is a great difference in that area in terms of theft and other dubious act done by hoodlums, and that she hope that the Grass field Police Post will continue to maintain as a Force For Good.
