The Government of Sierra Leone is currently working on the first batch of 67 former workers of the Sierra Leone Cable Company (SaLCab) summing up to a total of LE 5.2 Billion.

It could be recalled that this national communication entity was unbundled last year leading to the redundancy of scores of Sierra Leonean.

The Director of Communications at the Ministry of Information and Communications, Mohamed Muniru Jalloh has said they are on the process of having the beneficiaries sign the declaration forms. He said after signing, the Accountant assigned will start to issue payment to the various accounts.

Jalloh stressed that those ex – workers who have not returned properties of the company have been told to do so if they want their money.

Former workers, Bangali Marrah and David Fuad have expressed their satisfactions over the process thanking the Media and Ministry officials for expediting their issue.
