Bo City Mayor Kobba Musa welcomed German Ambassador Jens Krause-Maasé on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at the Kortigbuma Section office, solidifying ties between Sierra Leone and Germany.
Ambassador Krause-Maasé, as part of his national tour, stressed the importance of bolstering the enduring bilateral relationship between the two nations. He commended Mayor Musa’s leadership during the courtesy visit.
Highlighting the sister city friendship between Germany’s Stadt Aschaffenburg and Bo, Ambassador Krause-Maasé expressed eagerness for continued exchanges, affirming the commitment to strengthening cultural and economic ties.
Mayor Musa reciprocated the gratitude, acknowledging the robust relationship between Sierra Leone and Germany. He outlined the council’s achievements and challenges, prompting Ambassador Krause-Maasé to pledge a comprehensive examination and responsive action where necessary.
The meeting, attended by Deputy Mayor Hawa Campbell, Chief Administrator Henry Powell, media representatives, and other officials, signifies a significant step in fostering international collaboration between Sierra Leone and Germany.
