The substantive Chiefdom Speaker of Gbense in Kono District Chief Aiah Moses Kamanda has been appointed by the Government of Sierra Leone as the Regent Chief of the aforementioned Chiefdom.
The appointment of Chief Kamanda came as a result of the demise of the Paramount Chief of Gbense Chiefdom, Kono District, Hon. Paramount Chief Sahr Fengai Korgbende Kaimachiande III.
Owing to the appointment of Chief Aiah Moses Kamanda as the Regent Chief in Gbense Chiefdom , Kono District, one of the section Chiefs in Gbense Chiefdom Chief Sahr Masu Kopofekor Gbondo has also been appointed as the Gbense Chiefdom Speaker in order to fill the vacuum created by the appointment of the substantive Speaker of Gbense Chiefdom, Kono District Chief Aiah Moses Kamanda.
In an interview with our corresponded , the appointed Regent Chief of Gbense Chiefdom, Kono District Chief Aiah Moses Kamanda expressed appreciation to God and the Government of Sierra Leone headed by President Bio for reposing on him the leadership confidence to lead the people of Gbense Chiefdom.
He described his appointed as the Regent Chief of Gbense Chiefdom as a joy and blessing to provide leadership for his people who he has worked with for decades.
He disclosed plans of boosting the revenue mobilization drive for the development of the Chiefdom.
“As my second time in the position as Regent Chief in Gbense Chiefdom, peaceful co-existence and development are going to be my watch words,” newly appointed Regent Chief maintained.
