G-Shankerdas and Sons Supports Wellington Palm Bridge Market Pavement

In their passion for promoting community development initiatives, the management of G-Shankerdas and Sons SL Ltd, through their Community Development Action Plan (CDAP), has supported distinguished building materials in supporting the pavement of the Palm Bridge Market, Conton Street, Abucombo Junction, Wellington community in Eastern Freetown.

In his statement, the Honourable Member of Parliament for Constituency 115, Lawyer Bah, who hosted the company, commended the Company as he presented the donated building materials worth over 13 Million three hundred Ninety Leones (NL13, 390) to community stakeholders.

He stated that he wasn’t a minister of works, but through his efforts and commitment to his constituents, he always created connections to deliver to his people.

He maintained that G-Shankerdas and Sons Sierra Leone Limited is one of the leading companies in his area of command and is passionate about promoting his community development programs.

The lawmaker discussed that the company is always hopeful of working collaboratively and hand in glove to promote community development programs.

The legislature also emphasized the company’s commitment to paying taxes to the government of Sierra Leone to boost government revenue generation efforts.

“If the returns are big, the community should expect big, and if the returns are small, the community should also expect small because the company is using huge amounts of money in the tune thousands and millions of dollars,” to import raw materials,” he told his audience

and rest his case by encouraging the entire community not to get any issues with the company but to work in coordination to gain more from the entity through the employment opportunities the company had and still creating for the workforce or active population and assured that the company stands to help the community at any time the need may arise.

In her brief statement, Councilor Isata Lee Sesay supported what she described as a good move and a great initiative supported by the giant company.

She recognized the efforts displayed by community youths to enhance development and thanked the management for its humanitarian gesture toward her community.

She encouraged youths to maintain, unite, and see themselves as community stakeholders and partners in development.

The Company’s representative, Mr. Jombla, received thanks and appreciation from community stakeholders. He responded by encouraging the community to continue working with the company in good faith, peace, and unity, as the company is always committed to supporting community development initiatives.

“The Company is here to stay, and we want you to work with us in good faith. Management is always ready to work with all community stakeholders.
