23yrs-old Yillah Kamara a driver made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Larceny.
According to the particulars of offence on Tuesday 19th July 2022 at Old school hill station the mountain rural district of the western area in Freetown did steal two five gallons of diesel each valued four hundred and forty thousand Leones all to the total value of eight hundred and eighty thousand Leones(880,000,000) property of Ibrahim Kargbo.
The charges were read and explained to the accused person who pleaded guilty.
However, Magistrate Gogra said due to the plea mitigation and the accused being a first time offender he sentenced him to six months imprisonment to be kept in the male correctional centre in Freetown.
Inspector Mabel M Tarawalie prosecuted the matter in court.
