Freetonians Slifa FC secured a convincing 2-0 victory against Wilberforce Strikers FC at the Brima Attougia Mini Stadium on January 12, 2024. The goals were scored by James Kai Yamba and Ernest George. This win places Freetonians Slifa FC in the sixth position on the Leone Rock Premier League table, while Wilberforce Strikers FC continues to struggle at the bottom with only one win in ten matches and six defeats.
The match began with high intensity, with Wilberforce Strikers FC showing an early threat, particularly from the wings. The host’s goalkeeper was put to the test three times in the first half, but solid positioning and defensive efforts kept the visitors at bay.
After halftime, both teams returned to the pitch with a focused mindset. The second half proved to be a tightly contested battle, with Freetonians Slifa FC taking the initiative and posing more threats in the final third. Ernest George hit the woodwork twice in the 60th minute, and Ibrahim Kamara missed a one-on-one opportunity in the visitors’ half.

With this win, Freetonians Slifa FC climbs to the sixth position on the league table, while Wilberforce Strikers FC remains at the bottom with only seven points from ten matches.
