Fifty-nine-year-old Mohamed Sanu, a former ward coordinator, and fifty-three-year-old Kelly Marrah, a pastor, have been sent back to the Male Correctional Facility by Magistrate Mustapha Briama Jah of Pademba Road Court No. 1. Both defendants are facing charges of misprision of treason, contrary to the law.

According to the particulars of the offense, between the 26th of November 2023 and the 26th of July 2025, in Freetown, the defendants allegedly had knowledge that treason had been committed by Daniel Keleh Mansaray, alias “Ceaser,” and other unidentified individuals. It is claimed that Sanu and Marrah unlawfully concealed the commission of the treasonous act.

When the charges were read and explained to the defendants, no plea was taken.

State Counsel Yusuf Isaac Sesay, Esq., requested an adjournment to present his witnesses.

Magistrate Mustapha Briama Jah, citing the seriousness of the offense, denied bail for the accused. The case has been adjourned to the 6th of October, 2025, for further hearing.
