Following police investigation over the arrest of some military officers and others for alleged attempted coup in Sierra Leone, report from our correspondent states that former chief superintendent of the Sierra Leone police Mohamed Turay AKA ” Yeateh Yeateh ” who was dismissed from the Sierra Leone police force in 2020 on the orders of president Bio has been arrested and placed in the custody of the national Liberia Police in Monrovia.

Our correspondent maintained that late last week at least five top ranking military officers made their way to the national Liberia police force and later at the court house on the grounds of Temple of Justice situated at capital Hills in Monrovia Liberia with documents in order for Mohamed Turay to be extradited to Sierra Leone owing to his reported role of spear heading the alleged attempted coup in the country.

It could be recalled that the former chief superintendent of the Sierra Leone police Mohamed Turay who was dismissed from the Sierra Leone police on the orders of president Bio was alleged to be among others who were to use a peaceful protest to unseat the democratically elected president of the Republic of Sierra Leone on June 24th this year. Police investigation into the matter continues.
