Page 78 of the audit report of 2019 is indicative of how the suspended Auditor General Larry Taylor Pearce was in remiss to audit the Mayor of Freetown City Council. This is what Dr. Sylvia Blyden former APC Minister of Gender has questioned in a shared social media audio.

Her question is in the realm of proving corruption case, suggesting that passing comment of the suspended Auditor General Larry Taylor Pearce that there was no access to information about an estimated 111 billion Leones project implemented by Mayor Yvonne Aki Sawyer is something questionable and smacks of a cover up to protect the Freetown City Council.

Sylvia Blyden stated that Yvonne Aki Sawyer had acknowledged that she was supposed to implement 49 projects but claimed to have completed 31 using the referenced 111 billion Leones but completed 31 projects with the money.

Papering over the huge amount that Yvonne Aki Sawyer self-confessed to have expended on projects has become suspect that needs to be clarified beyond oversight to dispel any criminal intention.

Sylvia Blyden is arguing tracing constitutional guarantees for the operations of the Audit General that prop the assertion that there is sufficient protection and power in the constitution to avail her access to y public official and institution of government in conducting audit. She added that the issue at stake is not a gender related matter and has nothing to do Creole tribal connection.

As at press time we could not reach the suspended Auditor Larry Taylor Pearce to clear her name in an apparent fishy issue.  More on the story in subsequent editions.
