Stephen Barnes, the architect of the GO-FOR-GOLD Program, along with a group of foreign investors from the United States, Germany, and India, paid a courtesy visit to the Rt. Hon. Speaker Segepoh Solomon Thomas in his office. The investors expressed keen interest in investing in Sierra Leone, citing the country’s open-door policy and its welcoming populace on Monday, October 27, 2025.
During the meeting, Barnes explained that the purpose of their visit was to promote direct foreign investment and to request Speaker Thomas’s support in facilitating the ratification of related agreements at the parliamentary level. He assured the Speaker that the investors shared President Bio’s vision for economic growth and were committed to investing in Sierra Leone for the nation’s long-term benefit.
Speaker Thomas warmly welcomed the delegation and praised their intentions. With its strategic location, competitive labor force, and attractive investment incentives, Sierra Leone offers abundant opportunities for growth and international collaboration.
