For Motorbike Tire Theft: Bike Rider Sentenced 6 Months Imprisonment

Abass Turay a commercial bike rider made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on a count of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.

According to the particulars of offence on Tuesday 20th June 2023 at Sheriff drive Regent Road Lumley the western area in Freetown did steal one motorbike tire and it’s Rim value one thousand three hundred Leones(1,300) property of Issa Sesay.

When the charge was read and explained to the accused person; he pleaded guilty.

The prosecutor Inspector Mohamed Kamara told the court that fact as charge there are no available records against the accused person.

The accused person was unrepresented by legal representative and he pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy as he is a single father.

Due to the plea mitigation by the accused person Magistrate Gogra sentenced the accused person to six months imprisonment to the male correctional center in Freetown.
