Musa Kamara, Morison Abdulai and Ibrahim Kejemeh Dauda were on Monday 18th September 2023, sent on remand by magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba road court No3 for the alleged murder of Alouysh Deen Tarawallie ‘alias ARATA’.
The accused persons made their first appearance in court and were arraigned on two counts charges of conspiracy to commit murder contrary to section 4 of the offences against the persons Act 1816 and Murder contrary to section 1of the offences against the persons Act 1816 as repealed and replaced by section 1(a) of the schedule of the abolition of the death penalty Act 2022 act No 6 of 2022.
According to the charge on count one, it was alleged that the accused Musa Kamara, Morison Abdulai and Ibrahim Kejemeh Dauda on Tuesday 15th August 2013, at Freetown conspired together and with other person’s unknown to commit murder.
Whiles count two added that the accused persons on the same date at Railway line Tengbeh Town Junction in Freetown murdered Alouysh Deen Tarawallie alias ARATA.
When the charges were read and explained to the accused persons, no plea was taken and no legal representation was made on their behalf.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Sorie Conteh informed the court that his witnesses were absent and therefore could not proceed with the matter.
Magistrate Santigie Bangura remanded the accused persons in prison and adjourned the matter to the 29 September 2023.
