Alex Raymond Conteh on Wednesday 24th May 2023, appeared before Magistrate Isata Sellu Tucker of Court No 2 Pademba Road, Freetown, for obtaining money at Zenith Bank under false pretences.
The accused is charged on two counts of obtaining money by false pretences contrary to Section 32 (1) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the charge sheet on count 1, the accused Alex Raymond Conteh on Monday 9th January 2023, at Zenith Bank Freetown, with intent to defraud obtained the sum of twelve thousand new Leones from Mustapha Kamara by falsely pretending that he will facilitate his travelling to France which is known to be false.
Count 2 states that the accused Alex Raymond Conteh on Monday 6th February 2023, at Zenith Bank Freetown, with intent to defraud, obtained the sum of six thousand new Leones from Mustapha Kamara by falsely pretending that he will facilitate his travelling process to France, which is known to be false.
No plea was taken after reading the charges, and the accused is not legally represented and was remanded until the 30th of May 2023.
