Three accused persons, Ibrahim Koroma a tailor, while Tamba Bangura and Yassah Bangura are blacksmith, were arrested by the Police for carrying weapons and magazines without lawful authority.
The three suspects on Monday 25th October, 2021, made their first appearance before Magistrate Hadiru K Daboh of Ross Road Court No 3 in Freetown on a count of unlawful possession of arms and ammunition contrary to Section ii (1) of the arms and ammunition Act 2012.
According to the particulars of offence, all three accused persons, Ibrahim Koroma, Tamba Bangura and Yassah Bangura on Friday 17th October 2021, were found in possession of one pistol with serial number T-647221-Bv-05823, three magazines and live rounds without license.
The charge was read to all accused persons and they pleaded not guilty. The accused were not represented and were sent to the male correctional center in Freetown.
Sergeant 8534 Gibrilla Sesay is Prosecuting the matter, and has been adjourned to the 1st of November 2021.
