37 years old Alusine Maju Koroma made his first appearance before Magistrate Ladonnette Cole of Pademba road court No.5 in Freetown on a count of House Breaking and Larceny contrary to section 26 1 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Sunday 19th November 2023 at Regent Road Lumley the western area in Freetown with intent to steal broke and entered into the dwelling house of Kadiatu Saffa and stole therein one aluminum ladder, three double aluminum windows, one single aluminum window, one submissive and pumping machine, two bucket emulsion paints all to the total value of twenty nine thousand three hundred Leones (Le 29,300) property of Kadiatu Sadda.
The accused person pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecutor Sergeant 3001 Francess Lamin requested for a short adjournment date for her to get proper conference with her witness.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Cole granted the accused person bail in the sum of twenty seven thousand three hundred new Leones with two sureties in like sum sureties must deposit ten thousand Leones each to the Deputy assistant Registrar but sureties should produce valid identity card depicting his or her address in Freetown bail to be approved by the Deputy assistant Registrar and matter adjourned to the 12 December 2023 for further hearing.
In another development at the same court, 32 years old Alpha Kamara a painter and 17 years old Ibrahim Massaqoui made their first appearance before Magistrate Cole on two count charges to wit Conspiracy to commit a crime contrary to law and Larceny.
According to the particulars of offence on Saturday 18th November 2023 at Madina Cockerill off Wilkinson road the western area in Freetown conspired together with other persons unknown to commit a crime to wit Larceny and on count two the accused persons on the above date and place did steal one motor tricycle kekeh battery value one thousand one hundred Leones (1,100) Property of John Sandry.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecution requested short adjournment date since the witness was absence.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Cole sent the accused person to the male facility in Freetown and matter was adjourned to the 12th December 2023, while Sergeant 5598 Kamara S is prosecuting the matter.
