Foday Mubalie Football Academy U-15 defeated Lions Star FC by three goals to one in the grand finale, and this made the team to lift its first ever trophy since the Academy was founded in 2017.
Foday Mubalie Football Academy U-15 is the first team to lifts the KADEMM ENTERPRISE GALA Competition outside Kambia Town.
The final match against Lion Stars FC was played in high intensity, as they took the lead in the early ten minute of play.
They started the match with high pressing pace knocking the ball from left to right posing more threats infront of goal, Mamodu Bah in ten Jersey opening the scoring with spectacular free kick in the midfield pack and volley ball back of the net as the goalkeeper of Foday Mubalie Football Academy U-15 side Morlai Bangura was unable to put a hand to it as the ball went into net.
The visitors Foday Mubalie Football Academy U-15 side bounced back from a goal down to level the Scoring to (1-1) all in the early second half of play, Ibrahim Sillah the Captain Volley Free Kick shorts from the midfield area and ball went pass the goalkeeper for Lion Star FC side.
After the recess, both teams returned to the field of play with high intensity, as either side looking to win the match for a place to the grand finals.
But the entire second half was a total dominance of Foday Mubalie Football Academy who scored two goals to lift their first ever Trophy they did all they could to denied any goal scoring from the host.
The match ended with a win for the away side Foday Mubalie Football Academy U-15 side won by 3-1.
Foday Mubalie Kamara the CEO of Foday Mubalie Football Academy said the feeling is great seeing his side to lift their first grand finals Trophy’s, noting that this is just the beginning as there are more on the way laurels for the Academy.
He confirmed that, there are about fifty boys the Academy is taking care of currently, from both U-12, and U- 15 sides and everything that concerning their welfare, Education, medical.
He called on all meaningful Sierra Leonean to come on board to help him build a formidable academy for the country’s future.
Oska Kamara the head Coach of Foday Mubalie Football Academy U-15 said winning the club first Trophy’s is a special one, noting that this has been the dream of any Football Academy of winning trophies.
He called on the CEO of Foday Mubalie Football Academy to invest more in the current squad, because there are lots of potentials from the players, performance wise they have all what it takes to bring in more laurels for a structure Football Academy in Kambia District Town.
The team now has a huge task after the grand finals they will be bracing up for much anticipated regional U-15 and U-12 tournament that is going to kick-Off across the district.
