Foday Mubalie Football Academy U-15 side defeated Peter FC side by four goals to three (4-3) in a post-game penalty shoutout, the team has now progress to their first grand Final since the Academy was founded seven years ago.
The Foday Mubalie Football Academy team has grabbed the chance to play their Final of the KADEMM ENTERPRISE GALA Competition in Kambia Town.
The semi-final match against Peter FC side was played in high expectations, as host Peter FC side started the match with high pressing pace knocking the ball from left to right posing more threats infront of goal, as Alie Bangura in ten Jersey opening the scoring with spectacular free kick in the midfield pack and volley ball back of the net as the goalkeeper of Foday Mubalie Football Academy U-15 side Morlai Bangura was unable to put a hand to it as the ball went into net.
The Visitors Foday Mubalie Football Academy U-15 side bounce back from a goal down to level the Scoring to (1-1) all in the first half of play, Ibrahim Sillah Volley shorts from the midfield area and ball went pass the goalkeeper for Peter FC side, the first half ended at one all between two sides.
After the recess, both teams return to the field of play with high intensity, as either side looking to win the match for a place to the grand finals.
The second half of play, was totally dominance for the away side Foday Mubalie Football Academy U-15 side, but failed to utilizes most of their chances to get the winning goal, however the host Peter FC side went closed toward the end of the second half in taken the lead, but the solid defensive work of Foday Sankoh for Foday Mubalie Football Academy stood firm to denied any goal scoring from the host.
During the Penalties shout-out the Mubalie Academy U-15 side started the Penalties as the first player missed his spot kick, while the Peter FC side also missed their as well. In the second rounds of shout-out the Mubalie Academy side ensure all their remaining Spot kicks were converted to all, while Peter FC side player missed his third spot.
The match ended a win for the away side Foday Mubalie Football Academy U-15 side won by (4-3).
Oska Kamara the head Coach of Foday Mubalie Football Academy U-15 side said the win was a special moment for him and his boys to progress to their first ever grand Final, noting that their huge task at hand is to lift the trophy.
He confirmed that, the boys are much more prepared to take on any side they meet in the finals, noting that there are high spirits in the squad now, because the players want to write their own history in the district of win their first Trophy away from home.
After the grand finals on Tuesday the Team will be bracing up for much Anticipated Regional U-15 and U-12 tournament that is going to kick-Off across the district.
