Following the incessant incidences of armed robbery occurrences at Government Reservation, Ministry of Education Office at Baiima Road and the Saints Francis Emaculate Heart Church in Bo City, the Anti – Robbery Special Action Squad headed by Inspector Pawo Kamara from Freetown in collaboration with the operations team of Bo West and East Divisions, conducted a sting operation within the city of Bo.
It was later reported that five suspected hard core criminals were nabbed in respect of the above incidences.
It could be recalled that sometime in January 2021, one of the suspects (John James) was arrested at Bayama checkpoint with a shot gun (pistol) for which he was charged to court for the offence of unlawful possession of fire arm.
During the contemporaneous interview, some of the suspects admitted that they only robbed one resident at government reservation in Bo and carted away with three (3) Laptop Computers, some personal wearing and other valuable items worth millions of Leones from the above resident.
Meanwhile, the five (5) suspects were:-
? Mustapha Jusu, the ring leader.
? Mustapha Kalokoh alias Haji.
?Peter Bindi.
? Monday Ochucku who is allegedly suspected to be a Nigerian and
?John Williams who was arrested at Bayama checkpoint and gave his name as John James.
However, the five (5) suspects were further taken to Freetown by the Anti Robbery special action squad in relation to related armed robbery occurrences in Freetown and other parts of the country.
