35 yrs-old Alikalie Kamara a fisherman made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba road court No.6 in Freetown on one count charge to wit Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of the offence on Tuesday 7th February 2023 at Tamba kula Wharf Aberdeen the western area in Freetown stole thirty-four white boards each valued at one hundred and fifty Leones, three red boards each valued at one hundred and twenty Leones all to the total value of four thousand two hundred and seventy Leones (4,270) Property of Estina Aminata Conteh.
The charge was read and explained to the accused person who pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor Sergeant 1362 Amiza John told the bench that her witness is absent and seek for a short adjournment date.
The accused person was legally unrepresented.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Gogra refused bail and sent the accused person to the male correctional centre in Freetown and the matter was adjourned to the 24th February 2023 for further hearing.
