On March 5, 2025, she distributed essential food items to various mosques as part of her ongoing support during the holy month of Ramadan.
This year’s distribution included significant contributions to prominent mosques such as Koidu Central Mosque, Maranka Mosque, Fullah Mosque, Masjid Hizbulah, Temne Mosque, Max-Billal (Yellow Mosque), Kono Islamic Central Mosque, Masjid Isha, Masjid Karim, Al-Sunnah Islamic Center, Masjid Jamaat, and Masjid Taquar.
Dr. Bio emphasised that this initiative has been a long-standing tradition for her, aimed at fostering community bonds and providing vital assistance to those in need during this sacred time. “This is a usual activity for me every year,” she stated, highlighting her dedication to supporting the Muslim community.
The event was well-received, strengthening communal ties as families gathered for prayers and to break their fast together. Dr. Bio expressed her hopes for blessings and forgiveness during this significant month, stating, “May God bless and protect our fasting and forgive us our sins.”
The First Lady’s efforts highlight her ongoing commitment to social support and community solidarity in Sierra Leone, particularly during the important observance of Ramadan.
