Her Excellency Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone and President of the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD), was deeply honoured at the prestigious 50 Most Influential Sierra Leonean Women Award ceremony held at the Freetown International Conference Center. Among the distinguished guests was Madam Fatoumata Tambajang, former Vice President of The Gambia, underscoring the regional significance of the occasion. Her Excellency was honoured as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Sierra Leone in recognition of her unwavering commitment to empowering and protecting women and girls nationwide. In a moment of shared pride, she also accepted an award on behalf of His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, who was recognized for his exemplary leadership in promoting democracy, good governance, and gender equality as Sierra Leone’s HeForShe President.
